In polybutylene terephthalate (PBT+PC) blend the polycarbonate component adds resistance to impact, heat and stiffness, whereas the polybutylene terephthalate component provides chemical resistance. Polybutylene terephthalate blends retain their strength even at low temperatures and offer improved resistance to fuel and weather. The presence of polycarbonate suppresses the moisture sensitivity of crystalline polybutylene terephthalate in the blend.
